Why I built a rebounder for the kids who practice alone
Most young players lose the off-days. A coach explains the one piece of gear that turns a backyard into a second practice.

I have coached youth volleyball for years, and the same thing happens every season. A player gets excited, practices hard at the gym twice a week, then goes home and stalls. Not because she stopped caring. Because at home there is nobody to pass to.
Wall drills help a little. A parent tossing balls helps until the parent has to make dinner. The rep count that separates a rotating player from a starter never gets logged.

The Volleyball Vortex Rebounder is a 7 by 5 foot net on an adjustable frame. Serve, pass or set into it and it sends the ball back the way a teammate would. Change the angle and you change the drill: flat returns for passing, high returns for setting, sharp returns for defense.
